I read a lot of fashion blogs. I follow a lot of model-type females that look like good pictures come naturally to them. I am not one of those ladies.

But I try.

More often than not, I am complete and utter FAILURE. Once in a blue moon, however, magic happens.

Can you see it?

Boiling toast, one slice at a time. 😛

The batch dance that a lot of us came up with for the Political Science Department’s Acquaintance Party (more like middle of the semester breather-type, one-day-to-just-fuhgeddaboutit party, but, whatever… I don’t judge) is funny as hell.

I want to make it all official with a video. I say official because it hasn’t been posted on this blog. I want to post it on my blog. There aren’t a lot of readers/followers so I’m not really scared to post it. 😀

I’m going to make it in a couple of hours, after I’ve gotten out of these clothes. I have to take a picture of the outfit I have on and post it in my lookbook page, even if it’s not necessarily fashion-forward, because Mars asked me to. If somebody thinks it’s worth posting, maybe it is. So I will. You will see it here, too, for sure.

This is all easily done thanks to the tripod. I am so glad I decided to take daddy’s tripod out of the closet and into my life. LOL. I might look like an idiot when I take the pictures or make the video but hey, my blog, my life, my videos my pictures = NO SAY.

I’m just ninja like that.

I’ll be boiling more toast for you in a bit. Let me just get the whole look thing out of the way.

I’ll also be going to Poor Clare monastery, tonight, to pray a little bit to St. Clare whose Fiesta is on the 11th. God knows I need whatever blessings I can get. And the free food from the kindly nuns is great motivation.

I LOVE the calamansi juice. ❤

As usual, I am yours until toast successfully boils. 😀

I felt muy feminina today. I had my skirt on and my hair up in a dainty bun and everything! Pictures after the jump…

My compliments to my brother, Joachim, for being there to click the camera instead of having me run back and forth between desk and tripod. 😀

Enjoy the show! I enjoyed posing, even though I do not have a single model bone or photogenic bone in my body. Yes, I’m allowed vanity. 😉

So, yeah, i don’t know if I can keep coming up with inspired looks but as long as I do, I’ll keep posting pictures. However, the blog isn’t just about fashion (or lack of it, depending on what you think — in which case, STFU).

BOILED TOAST is about the rammblings of a 20-year-old, just stepping into the “real world”. My hijinks are sure to amaze you. 😉

Yours until the toast boils, toast boilers. I can’t get over the fact that I’m back! 😀

Ah, the immortal words from the Nutty Professor (I’m pretty sure you thought I was quoting from a certain prominent political figure of our time).

I want you all to know that the biggest EVER inspiration for me in deciding to make this blog are the fashion blogs by Jane Aldridge, Chiara Ferragni, and Leandra Medine, reading Sea of Shoes, The Blonde Salad, and The Man Repeller, respectively. They are all so awesome.

And because I feel like it and because I want to make a tribute to these fine fashionable inspirations, I’m posting a “What I Wore Today” type of thing.

I’m also doing it because I can.

Pictures of what I think is an exercise in sartorial freedom after the jump, toast boilers… 😉

This outfit was worn on February 1, 2o11… for a day in school — rainy, I might add. 😀

Pictures by Louise, who is great for taking the pictures when she was tired but is horrible for messing some up by blurring them… PFFT… 😉

headband: SM DEPARTMENT STORE; cardigan: SHALL WE DANCE; shirt: GAP; skirt: NEXT JEANS; socks: GREENHILLS TIANGGE; wedges: CMG

If you noticed, my hair is short here already. 😉

If I like how this comes out, I might post more. Otherwise we’ll just stick to random wotsits, yeah?

Either way, I’m letting my freak flag fly. You should, too. 😀

I had my hair cut!

I’ve been meaning to have it done for THE longest time and I FINALLY got around to doing it. I haven’t had short hair in a long time.

And I love it!

I’ll be posting pictures soon.

I feel so much more beautiful right now. 😀

I have to say, Louise’s party was a success! I had so much fun that night, regardless of the slow beginning and the bitter end that had transpired.

YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE.

It was therapeutic to let loose. I needed that. 🙂

So glad I did it with some of the people closest to my heart… And my toast… 😀

Here are a few pictures that ought to make you jealous… 😉

and don’t worry, it’s all on facebook… 😀

I have been on the BRINK of a nervy b. coz i have absolutely NO IDEA what to wear tomorrow, on Louise’s sure-to-be ULTRA FUN party!

I have been banned from wearing anything that will steal her spotlight so I basically CANNOT wear anything too, too flashy (BOOOOOO…)

I was checking out my followed blogs on Bloglovin again and I stumbled upon this super nice, super laid back outfit that Mary Kate Olsen was wearing that Olsens Anonymous posted. THANKS MUCHO MUCHO…

I AM INSPIRED. 😉

i'm currently searching my clothes archives for what i might have stashed in my closet that looks like this!

I will be posting what I hope will be a good version of a look inspired by hers. 😉

I’ve been known once in a while to show my creative side through stuff I wear, things I make, and whatever else i can get these grubby little paws on.

That being said, while checking out the blogs I follow on bloglovin, I saw this righteous DIY project that I’m SOOOOO ready to jump into. They were posted on the because im addicted blog (click here to see some awesome blog posts!)

So, THIS is what I want to do: WOVEN CHAINS! (found here and here)

When I accomplish this, you guys will be THE FIRST to see what I’m sure will be fantastic DIY bracelets…

Bring it on… 😉
