I am finished! I wrote a full draft with the help of a glittery pencil, some scratch paper, and, of course, Google Translate! 😉

It’s no secret and I’m not ashamed to say that I need a little help once in a while. I’m proud of what I know in Spanish and I’m not ashamed to say that it’s not a lot.

ANYWAY.

Here’s my essay. It’s long, extensive, and detailed (also braggy and slightly obnoxious — YOU HAVE NO SAY IN WHAT OR HOW I WRITE), just like i know la profesora specifically asked it to be. All I can say is that it is all true. 😀 i’ll type it in here just to give my hand a rest from writing.

¡Hola!

Whew. That took long to type. Who knew I’d have to use appropriate symbols?! O.o

I hope this is proper Spanish and I hope this gives me a good mark.

¡Hasta luego!

ok, Spanish homework time. I like Spanish class, much to the chagrin of some of my friends who aren’t so sure about the teacher. I think liking it is even an understatement. I ADORE IT. I think it’s muy alegria. 😉

So, the homework is simply to “describir su casa” or describe your house. and our teacher specifically said, “LARGO” to signify that she didn’t want some piddly-diddly little 3-sentence paragraph. She wanted to be amazed.

Well, get ready.

I’m not going into work, today, because, let’s face it, it’s freaking boring and, in the blunt and honest words of my friend, Merry, it’s ABSOLUTELY not what I want to do with my life. So here I am, munching on pringles, armed with my laptop and a piece of yellow paper and a pen. The laptop is for when I don’t know the word I want to use.

My motto for homework for this class is: when you can’t relate, Google Translate!

Lol, but I’m no quitter. I really go as far as I can with what little knowledge I have in Spanish and then I translate. Hehehe. it’s pretty handy.

So, despues this new post, I shall make my deberes as accurately and as extensive as i possibly can.

you see how dumb i can be?

Boiling toast like this can be fun. 😀

That is probably like the millionth time somebody tried to spell that part of the song. You just can’t type “moves like jagger” coz then nobody will know the exact feeling of euphoria that comes with singing it.

I love Maroon 5 even if I’ve been too poor to go to any of their concerts when they graced the Philippine Islands with their presence.

Adam Levine, you make me wanna move like Jagger.

And, to Christina Aguilera, I loved you when i was a kid and this song and Burlesque makes me love you, now, too. To be clear, I’m not saying I’m not a kid anymore. HAHAHA. Little 90s child humor, there.

So, because I love you toast-boilers so (whoever you are in the vast universe — IF THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WILL TAKE TIME TO WATCH REBECCA BLACK’S FRIDAY, THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WILL READ MY BLOG! BELIEVE YOU ME!), I am going to posty-post a link to this video that I posted on YouTube because VideoPress sucks and costs way too much. I worked tirelessly on this video of me dancing to Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN THE MUSIC. I JUST OWN THE SWAG.

The batch dance that a lot of us came up with for the Political Science Department’s Acquaintance Party (more like middle of the semester breather-type, one-day-to-just-fuhgeddaboutit party, but, whatever… I don’t judge) is funny as hell.

I want to make it all official with a video. I say official because it hasn’t been posted on this blog. I want to post it on my blog. There aren’t a lot of readers/followers so I’m not really scared to post it. 😀

I’m going to make it in a couple of hours, after I’ve gotten out of these clothes. I have to take a picture of the outfit I have on and post it in my lookbook page, even if it’s not necessarily fashion-forward, because Mars asked me to. If somebody thinks it’s worth posting, maybe it is. So I will. You will see it here, too, for sure.

This is all easily done thanks to the tripod. I am so glad I decided to take daddy’s tripod out of the closet and into my life. LOL. I might look like an idiot when I take the pictures or make the video but hey, my blog, my life, my videos my pictures = NO SAY.

I’m just ninja like that.

I’ll be boiling more toast for you in a bit. Let me just get the whole look thing out of the way.

I’ll also be going to Poor Clare monastery, tonight, to pray a little bit to St. Clare whose Fiesta is on the 11th. God knows I need whatever blessings I can get. And the free food from the kindly nuns is great motivation.

I LOVE the calamansi juice. ❤

As usual, I am yours until toast successfully boils. 😀

I felt muy feminina today. I had my skirt on and my hair up in a dainty bun and everything! Pictures after the jump…

My compliments to my brother, Joachim, for being there to click the camera instead of having me run back and forth between desk and tripod. 😀

Enjoy the show! I enjoyed posing, even though I do not have a single model bone or photogenic bone in my body. Yes, I’m allowed vanity. 😉

So, yeah, i don’t know if I can keep coming up with inspired looks but as long as I do, I’ll keep posting pictures. However, the blog isn’t just about fashion (or lack of it, depending on what you think — in which case, STFU).

BOILED TOAST is about the rammblings of a 20-year-old, just stepping into the “real world”. My hijinks are sure to amaze you. 😉

Yours until the toast boils, toast boilers. I can’t get over the fact that I’m back! 😀

Ah, the immortal words from the Nutty Professor (I’m pretty sure you thought I was quoting from a certain prominent political figure of our time).

I want you all to know that the biggest EVER inspiration for me in deciding to make this blog are the fashion blogs by Jane Aldridge, Chiara Ferragni, and Leandra Medine, reading Sea of Shoes, The Blonde Salad, and The Man Repeller, respectively. They are all so awesome.

And because I feel like it and because I want to make a tribute to these fine fashionable inspirations, I’m posting a “What I Wore Today” type of thing.

I’m also doing it because I can.

Pictures of what I think is an exercise in sartorial freedom after the jump, toast boilers… 😉

This outfit was worn on February 1, 2o11… for a day in school — rainy, I might add. 😀

Pictures by Louise, who is great for taking the pictures when she was tired but is horrible for messing some up by blurring them… PFFT… 😉

headband: SM DEPARTMENT STORE; cardigan: SHALL WE DANCE; shirt: GAP; skirt: NEXT JEANS; socks: GREENHILLS TIANGGE; wedges: CMG

If you noticed, my hair is short here already. 😉

If I like how this comes out, I might post more. Otherwise we’ll just stick to random wotsits, yeah?

Either way, I’m letting my freak flag fly. You should, too. 😀

I am over the moon, on cloud nine, walking on sunshine, and boiling toast when, as I boredly scrolled down my blog and saw…

Are you ready?

Wait for it…

AN OLDER ENTRIES BUTTON!

Woop, woop, I’m so awesome I could cry.

I should keep blogging and maybe make these entries EXTRA LONG so that the button won’t go to waste.

In the interest of keeping whatever minuscule number of readers or followers I have, i will say this, though. I am a first-time blogger. So EVERYTHING will get me excited.

BE READY.

LOLSKIES. 😉

I’ve been known once in a while to show my creative side through stuff I wear, things I make, and whatever else i can get these grubby little paws on.

That being said, while checking out the blogs I follow on bloglovin, I saw this righteous DIY project that I’m SOOOOO ready to jump into. They were posted on the because im addicted blog (click here to see some awesome blog posts!)

So, THIS is what I want to do: WOVEN CHAINS! (found here and here)

When I accomplish this, you guys will be THE FIRST to see what I’m sure will be fantastic DIY bracelets…

Bring it on… 😉

Just so you guys know, I’m all caught up on post-a-week, seeing as it’s only the third week of January and I’ve already come up with four, count ’em, FOUR toasts, er, POSTS.

So Louise, my ickle sibling of the female persuasion, is celebrating her birthday on Friday, the 21st.

too-too-too-doo-doo-doo-doo-too-too-too (a la kuzko on the emperor's new groove) 😛

She’ll be turning 17 (zoot a’lors!) not with a fizzle but with a bang because she’ll be holding a party on Saturday with icing fights, a jump and bounce, catering, karaoke, henna artists, the works!

Kevin, ♥the toast my boiler boils for♥, and I will be combining what minuscule knowledge we each have on the culinary arts to come up with the sweetest, most colorful icing (oh, yeah, coz that needs a lot of culinary expertise, LOL) for the most banging, chaotic, and RIDONKULOUS icing fight, EVAH!!!

Yes, toast boilers, we are going to attempt to turn this:

the most magnificent icing EVAH!

Into this:

nothing but the best for the day's little princess!

She’ll never see it coming! Well, she’ll see the icing coz it was her, after all, who requested the sugary clouds. What she won’t see is its AWESOMENESS because the icing we’re planning on making will reach the heights of awesome which none have ever seen nor dreamed of before!

I might be getting ahead of myself here, folks, seeing as Kevin and I are scrambling to get his mom’s recipe and the kind of ingredients (AND A HAND MIXER!) that we’ll need for this endeavour. But, rest assured, it’s gonna be awesome!

Either way, i’ll be needing some warm, toasty luck from y’all so, WISH IT!

What’s boiling, toasters? I’m thinking the POST A WEEK 2011‘s boiling! 😀 LOLSKIES, that was lame. Hahaha…

So anyway, I read this thing where WordPress is challenging its bloggers to post, post, post once a week, thus the title… POST-A-WEEK… du-uh… in an effort to up the blogging and crush the evil that is writer’s block…

Just call me wondergirl.

Anyway, I’ve decided to take them up on their challenge and I will be posting at LEAST once a week (hey, girl’s gotta blog) about the zany, mysterious, and otherworldly mundane activities that make up that which I have cleverly named my life.

So tune in, more than once a week, if that’s possible, and check to see the awesomeness that is my writing prowess and the perspectives of a sheltered loudmouth babe and how she fares in this, a most formidable of challenges.

En garde, WordPress!
